People – Workplace, Community & Culture

The success of SIDDC and LUDF depends on the skills of our people, their knowledge, their well-being, and by ensuring their safety. LUDF aims to provide an attractive, safe, and rewarding workplace to ensure that we continue to attract and retain the best people into dairy farming.

When considering changes to our farm system, we assess the potential impact on the hours worked and changes to our workplace quality. This is how our flexible milking 10 in 7 regime originated. We continue to invest in our people as they are critical to our farming operation and for caring for our animals and the environment. Meet our team.

One of SIDDC’s core roles is to share dairy farming knowledge with our wider stakeholders and community. This included school and university students, local farmers, rural professionals, as well as the public. Throughout the year we host over 2,000 visitors through our farm gates and at our focus days.

We aim to extend our projects to our stakeholders and to help people understand modern dairying. Fronting the challenges and providing solutions will allow LUDF to assist the industry and the community around it.

We embrace diverse perspectives and cultural values that enrich our farming practices. This also supports industry to be resilient in a global market. By investing in our people, having an encouraging workplace and strong community relationships; LUDF aims to be a farm everyone can be proud of.
